Terms & Conditions

 

Please read the following Terms & Conditions before ordering from The Chelsea Cake Company. From time to time, The Chelsea Cake Company may update these, so please check back before placing any orders. Your order will be conducted on the basis of these Ts & Cs.

Your order has been conducted on the basis of these Ts & Cs.

Confirmation of Bookings

Bookings will be treated as provisional bookings until payment has been received. The client must also confirm number of guests to be catered for ahead of the event.

Deposits and payments

A “Non Refundable/Transferable Booking fee” of 30% of the estimated bill is required immediately to secure the booking.
100% of the outstanding estimated bill (less the 30% booking fee) is payable not less than 14 working days prior to the event.
If less than 14 days are remaining, The Chelsea Cake Company request that 100% non refundable/Transferable booking fee be made immediately, in advance of due date.

Deposits and payments

We accept the following forms of payments:

American Express (3% card handling fee), All Major Credit Cards (2% card handling fee),

Visa Debit (Free)

Cancellation fees

For events of 100 people or more, The Chelsea Cake Company will make a charge for cancelled bookings calculated at a percentage of the total booking value. For these purposes the total booking value shall be calculated in accordance with the number notified by the client to The Chelsea Cake Company in the information of booking:

Cancellation period

Cancellation less than 4 months prior to the event - Deposit is lost
Cancellation less than 3 months prior to the event - 50% of total quote due Cancellation less than 2 months prior to the event - 70% of total quote due Cancellation less than 1 month to 15 days inclusive prior to the event - 100% due
All cancellation of events needs to be made in writing.
The Chelsea Cake Company are not able to issue any refunds in the event that there are lesser number of guests, following the final invoice.


Equipment hire & damages

Equipment hire is to be requested at time of the booking. A relevant charge will be added onto the catering costs, which will adhere to the charges of payment as above, and in the event of cancellation as above.
The hirer shall be responsible for the cost of repairs of any damage done to any part of the hired equipment including contents and decoration which may occur during the period of hiring. The Chelsea Cake Company shall not be responsible for any personal effects brought to the event.

A replacement charge will be sent to all clients ahead of hiring items. This is there in the event that items are not returned in their original form. This must be paid along with the final invoice if necessary.


Collection of Equipment

Whenever possible an agreement will be made prior to the event regarding delivery and collection of equipment (i.e. birdcages, linen table cloths, tables, chairs, other decoration etc). If any equipment has to be left on site after our staff have left and collected in the following days, a collection charge may be requested, or equipment can be returned to our premises free of charge.


Food Safety / Left-over Food

The Chelsea Cake Company advise that all food must be consumed within 24 hours of hours of initial serving, therefore any food consumed after 24 hours or more is at the client’s discretion and therefore becomes their responsibility.
Once any food has been delivered, the responsibility of consumption lies with the client and therefore indemnifies The Chelsea Cake Company of all liability of personal consumption.


Food Safety / Preparation

Not all of our products are made with nuts. We work in a sterile kitchen that adheres to health & food safety standards, but is very busy and we cannot guarantee the absence of nut traces in every product.
If you have any allergies, for example but not limited to the following: nut, dairy, wheat, or know someone who may be attending your event that has an allergy, this must be notified to The Chelsea Cake Company at point of order and we will ensure that your product is made in an environment, and using ingredients, that is free from any product that may evoke a reaction (see below Food Safety/Allergy). Payment of any goods is confirmation that this has been accepted and thus indemnifying The Chelsea Cake Company of liability of any allergic reactions following delivery of a product that has not been mentioned prior to baking.

Every product is made fresh to order.


Food Safety / Allergies

The Chelsea Cake Company prepares foods using the following ingredients which have been added to the EU Food Information for Consumers Regulation, launched on 13 December 2014:

eggs, milk, tree nuts (almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, cashews, pecans, brazils, pistachios, macadamia nuts or Queensland nuts), cereals containing gluten (wheat (such as spelt, Khorasan wheat/Kamut), rye, barley, oats, or their hybridised strains). Soya

Payment of any goods is confirmation that this has been accepted and thus indemnifying The Chelsea Cake Company of liability of any allergic reactions following delivery of a product that has not been mentioned prior to baking.

Your Privacy

The information you provide to The Chelsea Cake Company will be confidential and not passed on to any third party. You will not be spammed, nor contacted unnecessarily. All personal details regarding your order will be kept private. The Chelsea Cake Company reserves the right to use photos of your order at any time on our website, or through our Twitter page: www.Twitter.com/ChelseaCakeCo however, we will never divulge information about the client. All rights of the designs lie with The Chelsea Cake Company and can only be used by the client for personal consumption and use.
